ACTIVITY 3: A LETTER TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF
Now that you’ve made a move toward removing some blockers and started the process of letting go, I want you to write a letter to your younger self. Be honest, raw, vulnerable, open. No one ever has to read it – this is for you and you alone. This is a powerful way of seeing how far you’ve come, what obstacles you’ve had to jump through, how different events in your life (good and bad) have shaped you into the person you are today and help you through ‘stuck points. It’s also a good reminder that life is a gift and goes on no matter what happens. Maybe you might want to impart some wisdoms that you’ve learnt over the years, as a reminder to yourself. This is your opportunity to pour your heart and soul out to yourself and be unequivocally vulnerable about how you became the incredible person you are today.
I’ve done this exercise twice now, once from a personal perspective and another for a business; both very similar (because I am the same person at the end of the day). Both mine have been published, so maybe I wasn’t as vulnerable as I could have been; but it gives you an idea (and hopefully some inspo) to write your own.
